"The Summer Book" at the Graduates Association on the 19th

The Graduates Association announced the participating entities in the ninth edition of the Summer Book Fair, scheduled to take place from August 19 to August 23.

The ninth edition of the fair features a record number of diverse participants, including publishing houses, bookstores, cultural institutions, academic organizations, and several civil society organizations.

The participating entities are: Qirtas Publishing and Distribution Company, Takween Bookstore, Noon House, Al-Fikr Al-Arabi, Tadamun Magazine, Doha Bookstore, Al-Jarida newspaper, Ru’ya Publications, the Graduates Association, the Center for Gulf and Arabian Peninsula Studies, the Hamad Abdulaziz Al-Saqer Center for Development and Innovation, the Women’s Cultural and Social Association, Suad Al-Sabah Publishing and Distribution House, Al-Rabiean Publishing and Distribution Company, Tarous Publishing and Distribution Center, the American University in Kuwait, Khutwa Publishing and Distribution House, Digital Future Company, and the Heritage Library.

On this occasion, Ibrahim Al-Mulifi, President of the Graduates Association, emphasized that the Summer Book Fair, organized annually by the Association at its headquarters in Bani Qar, aims to support the pillars of the local book industry, represented by publishing houses, authors, and writers.

He noted that the annual fair aligns with the Association’s objectives of consolidating its cultural and social role and providing readers in Kuwait with the opportunity to explore the latest intellectual and literary titles.

Al-Mulifi pointed out that the fair, which will launch on August 19, embarks on a new experience during its ninth edition. Its activities will begin on Wednesday, August 19, and continue until Sunday, August 23, thereby including Friday and Saturday within the fair’s days. This new approach aims to double the number of visitors, particularly during the weekend days of Friday and Saturday.
