State Minister for Youth and Sports Affairs Dr. Tariq Al-Jalahma emphasized the importance of continuing to exchange expertise and experiences with the Kingdom of Bahrain, in a manner that contributes to developing youth work and enhancing opportunities available to young people, considering them a fundamental element in the development process and in shaping the future.
This came in a statement by Minister Al-Jalahma to KUNA on the occasion of his visit to Manama, in response to an invitation from Bahrain’s Minister of Youth Affairs, Rawan Tawfiqi. He added that “the visit represents an important opportunity to closely observe the Bahraini experience in youth work and benefit from the distinctive programs and initiatives offered.”
He stressed that exchanging expertise and experiences between the two brotherly countries constitutes a cornerstone for developing youth work and elevating programs directed at young people, in a way that aligns with their aspirations and enhances their role in building a sustainable future.
Minister Al-Jalahma expressed his appreciation for the distinguished youth programs and experiences he observed in the Kingdom of Bahrain, commending the supportive environment provided by youth institutions and centers for nurturing young people’s energies and developing their skills and capabilities.
For her part, the Bahraini Minister of Youth Affairs praised the depth of Bahraini-Kuwaiti relations, which are based on solid fraternal and historical ties, noting the role of youth from both brotherly countries in strengthening and consolidating these relations for future generations. She emphasized the importance of continuing to enhance cooperation and exchange successful experiences between officials and youth entities in the two countries.
During his visit to the Model Muharraq Youth Center, accompanied by Minister Tawfiqi, Minister Al-Jalahma sought to learn about the Bahraini experience in youth work and enhance the exchange of expertise and successful experiences between the two brotherly countries. The visit included an inspection of the center’s facilities, which include spaces dedicated to young people and provide a suitable environment for conducting activities and implementing youth programs and initiatives.
The tour also included a visit to “Al-Manara Space” for art and culture within the center, to learn about its role as an interactive youth space that hosts ideas, talents, and initiatives, and provides young people with opportunities for learning, networking, and participation.
The roles and efforts of the Ministry of Youth Affairs in the Kingdom of Bahrain were presented, highlighting the programs and initiatives it offers aimed at empowering youth, developing their skills and capabilities, and providing a supportive environment for their participation and creativity. Several distinctive youth experiences and initiatives were also showcased, along with an introductory meeting with the heads of several youth bodies to learn about their roles, jurisdictions, and key programs and initiatives offered to young people, as well as the spaces and opportunities they provide to enhance youth participation in various fields.
On another note, State Minister for Youth and Sports Affairs Dr. Tariq Al-Jalahma discussed with Bahrain’s Minister of Youth Affairs, Rawan Tawfiqi, in Manama, ways to enhance bilateral youth cooperation between the two brotherly countries in various fields and exchange experiences and expertise, thereby benefiting from successful initiatives and programs on both sides.
This came during the meeting between the State Minister for Youth and Sports Affairs and the Bahraini Minister of Youth, as part of Minister Al-Jalahma’s visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain, reflecting the shared commitment to strengthening fraternal relations and developing cooperation pathways in the youth and sports sectors.
Minister Al-Jalahma expressed his appreciation for the warm reception, reaffirming the depth of fraternal relations uniting the two countries and their peoples, and Kuwait’s keenness to enhance cooperation with the Kingdom of Bahrain in the youth field. He highlighted the importance of exchanging successful experiences and expertise between the two countries, which contributes to developing programs and initiatives directed at youth, enhancing their capabilities, and supporting their aspirations.
For her part, the Bahraini Minister of Youth Affairs emphasized the deep historical and fraternal relations uniting the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Kuwait, noting the support and patronage they receive from Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and his brother, His Highness Prince Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. She pointed out that youth cooperation represents a renewed bridge to strengthen these relations and a platform for building partnerships that harness young people’s energies and open wider horizons for their experimentation and achievement. She stressed the importance of continuing to develop joint work in the youth sector through the exchange of expertise and successful experiences, organizing joint programs and events, and providing spaces that allow Bahraini and Kuwaiti youth to communicate, learn, benefit, and exchange experiences.
During the meeting, the importance of enhancing communication between Bahraini and Kuwaiti youth was reaffirmed, along with expanding their participation in joint programs, events, and forums to strengthen bonds of brotherhood and communication between the two countries and support the building of sustainable youth partnerships based on the exchange of knowledge and expertise, and transforming successful experiences into joint initiatives that achieve positive and sustainable impact.
