Arab League Condemns Continued Israeli Attacks on Lebanon: Reveals Occupation's Intentions to Prolong Confrontations and Hinder Negotiations

The Arab League strongly condemned on Saturday the ongoing Israeli attacks on southern Lebanon, which targeted civilians in Nabatieh and several neighboring villages, in a blatant violation of Lebanon’s sovereignty and a serious escalation that threatens to undermine efforts aimed at resolving the conflict and ending the occupation.

In a statement, the Arab League affirmed that these Israeli policies and practices reveal the occupation’s intentions to prolong confrontations, obstruct negotiations, and impose a new reality on the ground that is entirely unacceptable.

It warned of the danger of the situation deteriorating into broader confrontations unless the international community, particularly the United States, intervenes to halt the Israeli war machine and compel the occupation to comply with United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701.

The statement reaffirmed the Arab League’s solidarity with Lebanon and its people, and its full support for the Lebanese state in the face of all attacks targeting Lebanon’s security, stability, sovereignty, and social cohesion.
