Pakistan Ambassador: Fraternal and Historical Relations with Kuwait

The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in the State of Kuwait commemorated the 80th anniversary of Pakistan’s independence and the 150th anniversary of the birth of the country’s founder and Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, amidst a patriotic and enthusiastic atmosphere, with wide participation from members of the Pakistani community in Kuwait, who attended the flag-raising ceremony.

In a speech during the celebration, Pakistani Ambassador to Kuwait Dr. Zafar Iqbal emphasized that Independence Day serves as an occasion to recall the significant sacrifices made by the founding fathers and forefathers in establishing the nation, expressing his hope that Pakistan would continue its path of development and prosperity, achieving further progress.

The ambassador praised the deep fraternal and historical ties between Pakistan and Kuwait, expressing his appreciation for the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and the Government of Kuwait, for their continued support of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

He called on members of the Pakistani community to continue their efforts and contributions to supporting the development and prosperity of both Pakistan and Kuwait, underscoring the importance of their role in strengthening the bonds between the two countries and peoples.

The celebration included the screening of documentary films covering the history of the independence movement and the life of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, alongside the performance of several national anthems. The event also featured an exhibition of photographs documenting the Pakistani people’s struggle for freedom and highlighting the country’s history and rich cultural heritage. The displays and activities drew considerable interest from attendees and visitors, who joined members of the Pakistani community in celebrating this national occasion.
