Al-Anbaa learned that the Ministry of Social Affairs, represented by the Department of Associations and Charitable Endowments, issued a letter to the chairs of the boards of directors of charitable associations, once again warning them against dealing with any external entities not approved within the humanitarian work system under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Sources told Al-Anbaa that the ministry stressed the necessity of restricting associations’ dealings to approved entities, based on a letter from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs noting that some charitable associations had engaged with unapproved entities, and affirming that necessary measures would be taken in case of non-compliance.
On another front, Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Dr. Amthal Al-Huwail announced the Kuwaitization of the Supply Branch Manager position in 12 cooperative societies, as part of a plan aimed at Kuwaitizing this role across all cooperative societies.
Minister Al-Huwail stated that the ministry is directly monitoring the implementation of the plan according to specific stages, aimed at expanding the participation of national talents in the cooperative sector and providing more job opportunities for citizens.
She added that achieving Kuwaitization in the 12 societies represents a phase within a comprehensive plan that will continue sequentially to cover the remaining societies, while adhering to the conditions and regulations for filling the position and prioritizing qualified national talents. She revealed that the coming period will see the announcement of additional vacancies in cooperative societies after completing the inventory and the regulatory procedures related to them.

On another note, the Ministry of Social Affairs informed charitable associations and endowments about the participation conditions for the seventh edition of the Family-Friendly Institutions Award for 2026, which the Arab League intends to launch, represented by its Social Affairs Sector and the Family and Childhood Administration, under the title “Best Initiatives to Enhance Family Well-being.”
The ministry clarified that the award targets government and private institutions, including civil society organizations, and aims to highlight pioneering initiatives and innovative practices that contribute to improving the quality of life for Arab families, enhancing their capacity to face contemporary challenges, and supporting their stability and cohesion.
It specified that participation conditions require the project or idea to provide a solution to a problem within the family sphere, have a clear and tangible impact on improving family quality of life, respect the values, customs, and social traditions of Arab families, and be practically implementable and easy to use for all family members.
The ministry added that the conditions also include the project or idea being sustainable and developable, with a clear plan to ensure its long-term continuity; relying intelligently and effectively while considering digital security and family privacy; and offering innovative and unprecedented ideas or practices.
It pointed out the necessity for the project or idea to achieve optimal use of available resources, thereby enhancing efficiency and sustainability, and to have the potential for expansion and application at the national level, with the possibility of generalization and future benefit.
The ministry requested that charitable associations and endowments meeting the award criteria and wishing to participate submit their applications by August 23, 2026, noting that the award consists of a certificate of appreciation.

She revealed that the coming period will see the announcement of additional vacancies in cooperative societies after completing the inventory of positions and finalizing the related regulatory procedures, reaffirming the ministry’s continued policy of empowering national cadres in supervisory and support roles within the cooperative sector.
Minister Al-Huwail emphasized that the Kuwaitization plan is not limited to filling vacancies but aims to build a cadre of nationals capable of assuming responsibility and contributing to the development and enhancement of cooperative work, thereby improving the quality of services provided to members and consumers.
