Pakistani posing as a Colonel to defraud women

Ahmed Khamees: Officers from the General Administration of Immigration Affairs Investigations arrested a 45-year-old Pakistani national on suspicion of impersonating an official in the Ministry of the Interior and defrauding women of Arab and Asian nationalities. A security source stated that investigators seized a military uniform, a colonel’s rank insignia, and an ID badge at the suspect’s residence, which indicated he worked in the General Administration of Supervision and Inspection. Legal procedures are underway against him, and authorities are investigating the nature of the fraud he committed by exploiting his forged credentials.

According to the source, intelligence reached investigators that an Asian national working as a tailor was deceiving women into believing he was an officer in the Interior Ministry, occasionally wearing a military uniform and exploiting his fluency in the local dialect. Further inquiries confirmed the suspect’s involvement in impersonating an officer and convincing women of his ability to facilitate official transactions.

Based on these findings, investigators obtained a warrant from the Public Prosecution and arrested the suspect. During interrogation, he admitted to exploiting his fabricated officer status, tailoring a military uniform, and producing an ID badge bearing the rank of colonel.

The source added that investigators visited the national’s residence and discovered the military uniform, an ID badge for employees of the General Administration of Supervision and Inspection, and the fake rank insignia.
