The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, affirmed that the Ministry of Interior would not tolerate any acts or crimes that undermine societal security and family safety, emphasizing the importance of enhancing family awareness and parental responsibility in protecting children.

This statement was made by Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, as conveyed in a press release issued by the Ministry of Interior following his visit to two children who were injured after being stabbed with a sharp object by their mother, who was apprehended by security forces and subjected to the necessary legal procedures. The visit was intended to reassure himself about the children’s health condition and to monitor the progress of their treatment.

Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef stated that such incidents would be met with firmness, and the law would be applied to everyone without exception. He directed that all necessary measures be provided to complete their treatment, ensuring comprehensive medical care and continuous monitoring of their health.

The statement added that during the visit, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef reviewed the children’s medical condition and listened to a briefing from the treating medical team regarding their status and the treatment plan in place, commending the efforts of the medical staff in providing care and treatment.

He further noted that the relevant departments within the Ministry of Interior are continuing to complete the investigations and necessary legal procedures concerning the incident.
