Trump: Strait of Hormuz will be under U.S. control

US President Donald Trump said, “The Strait of Hormuz will be under the control of the United States,” adding that the naval blockade against Iran is a wall of steel.
US President Donald Trump announced his intention to deliver strong economic strikes against Iran. Trump told the US Fox News network: “We will deliver a strong economic blow to Iran, and I don’t care whether it happens before or after the midterm elections.” The White House had previously affirmed its commitment to continuing sanctions against Iran and crippling its economy, adding that there are more pressure tools at our disposal against Iran.
For his part, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said the United States would impose unprecedented measures against Iran.
In a television interview, he stated: “Expect more announcements next week, as we will implement measures unprecedented in the history of economic isolation imposed on any country.”
He added that “it will be a combination of economic isolation unlike anything the world has ever seen, and the continuation of the blockade in the Strait of Hormuz, preventing anything from entering or leaving Iranian ports.”
