CENTCOM: We altered the course of 62 commercial vessels and disrupted three since resuming the naval blockade on Iran

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that U.S. forces have diverted 62 commercial vessels, detained three ships, and boarded two others since the resumption of the maritime blockade imposed on Iran. CENTCOM stated in a post on the X platform: “A U.S. sailor directs an MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter during night flight operations aboard the guided-missile cruiser USS Princeton (CG 59), as the ship sails in the Arabian Sea enforcing the U.S. blockade on Iran. As of August 14, U.S. Central Command forces had diverted 62 commercial vessels, detained three ships, and boarded two ships to ensure compliance.”
