Egypt and Pakistan reaffirm their support for efforts to enhance regional stability and security

Egypt and Pakistan affirmed their shared commitment to continuing consultations and close coordination in the coming period, particularly within the framework of the four-party regional mechanism, to support efforts aimed at enhancing regional stability and security. The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a press release that this came during a phone call received by Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Dr. Badr Abdelatty from Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, as part of a shared commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and maintaining continuous coordination and consultation on regional developments. The statement clarified that the call featured an exchange of views on several regional files, foremost among them developments in the region, efforts to de-escalate tensions and restore calm, as well as regional security arrangements. It added that the two ministers discussed ways to enhance cooperation in security and defense fields, serving common interests and strengthening ties of collaboration. According to the statement, the two ministers praised the historical ties and close bonds uniting Egypt and Pakistan. They also reaffirmed, in this context, the commitment of both countries to continue joint efforts to elevate bilateral cooperation across various political, economic, commercial, and investment fields, and to explore new horizons for partnership between the two countries, thereby advancing bilateral cooperation to broader horizons and achieving the shared interests of both countries and peoples.
