Public Works: 82% completion rate for infrastructure development works in the Qurtuba area

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Public Works stated that the actual completion rate for the infrastructure development contract in the Qurtuba area has reached 82%.

In a statement, it noted that, following directives from Minister of Public Works Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan, Anwar Al-Balushi, Director General of the General Administration of Water Affairs, conducted a field visit to the aforementioned works. The contract for these works was initiated on April 3, 2024, and is set to last for three years.

The ministry reported that the completion rate for both the sewage and stormwater drainage networks has reached 97%, while the completion rate for the telephone network is 99% and for the street lighting network is 96%. It further stated that the completion rate for Type 1 and Type 2 asphalt layer paving works is 78.9% for both, whereas Type 3 has reached 15.2%.
