Cairo - Nihad Imam witnessed the signing ceremony of a joint cooperation protocol between the Real Estate Registration and Authentication Sector of the Ministry of Justice and the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade, held yesterday at the Cabinet headquarters in the New Alamein City. The ceremony was attended by Minister of Justice Mahmoud Helmy El-Sharif, Dr. Mohamed Farid, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, and a group of senior officials from both ministries.
The protocol aims to simplify procedures for investors through integration and full electronic linkage between authentication applications and investment authority applications, and to activate the immediate provision of Real Estate Registration and Authentication services to the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones. This includes real-time inquiries regarding the validity and status of powers of attorney issued by the Real Estate Registration Authority. Furthermore, integration has been achieved in services related to company establishment, with the electronic approval of ordinary and extraordinary general assembly resolutions, ultimately leading to a service that ensures the reduction of establishment procedures’ duration and operational efficiency in accordance with Real Estate Registration and Authentication laws and regulations.
For his part, the Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade emphasized that developing the investor journey requires continued coordination and integration among various government entities. He highlighted the necessity of leveraging digital solutions for data and document exchange, which reduces the procedures required from investors and shortens the time needed to obtain services. He clarified that the protocol represents an important step in this direction to achieve integration among various entities, thereby contributing to the development of services provided to investors and facilitating the establishment and operation of projects, which supports attracting new investments and expanding existing ones.
In his speech following the signing ceremony, Minister of Justice Mahmoud Helmy El-Sharif affirmed that the signing of this protocol reflects the Ministry of Justice’s sincere commitment to a complete transition toward a smart digital environment. He noted that providing Real Estate Registration and Authentication services to companies electronically in a secure manner constitutes a fundamental element for protecting investors’ funds and saving time and effort, thereby supporting the state’s efforts to attract national and foreign investments and enhancing the confidence of investors and businessmen in the Egyptian procedural system.
