"Downward Trend" Brings Mona Back to Drama

Actress Mona Zaki returns to television drama after a three-year absence, starring in the series “Tale’ Naazel,” which has begun filming in preparation for its release on the Shahid platform. The 10-episode series features Mohamed Shaheen, Mariam Al-Khashab, Hamza Diab, Mimi Gamal, Laila Ez El-Arab, and others. It is written by Sama Ahmed Abdel Khalek and Inji Al-Qasim, and directed by Hany Khalifa.

The series marks a renewed collaboration between Mona Zaki and Hany Khalifa, following their previous projects “Sahar Al-Layali” and “Rihla 404.” Her last dramatic appearance was in the 2023 series “Tahat Al-Wisaya.”

On the cinematic front, Mona Zaki is preparing to maintain her presence with the film “Al-Jawharagi,” currently screening in cinemas. The film stars her alongside Egyptian actor Mohamed Henedy, is written by Omar Taher, and directed by Islam Khairy.
