In line with its ongoing commitment to supporting and developing young national talent, Waha Bank announced the enrollment of more than 40 trainees in its “Iniqala” program, implemented in collaboration with the Public Authority for Housing Affairs. The program was conducted in two cohorts during July and August, reflecting the bank’s dedication to contributing to the preparation of a generation capable of meeting labor market demands and acquiring the necessary professional skills.
The program is part of Waha Bank’s efforts to enhance its corporate social responsibility by providing a professional training environment that offers participants a genuine opportunity to understand the nature of banking operations and gain practical experience that contributes to developing their skills and refining their capabilities.
Regarding the initiative, Abdullah Al-Rashid, Head of the Human Resources and General Services Group, stated: “The ‘Iniqala’ program is not limited to training within the bank’s branches; rather, it provides a comprehensive professional experience that allows trainees to familiarize themselves with various departments and sectors, and to observe institutional work mechanisms, thereby broadening their professional horizons and linking academic knowledge with practical application.”
Al-Rashid added: “Trainees participate in a number of practical activities and tasks under the supervision of specialized banking staff, which helps them develop communication and teamwork skills, and enhances their ability to assume responsibility and make decisions in a professional work environment.”
She emphasized that “Waha Bank believes that investing in youth is one of the key pillars of sustainable development. Therefore, the bank continues to launch initiatives and programs that provide them with real opportunities to learn and gain experience, thereby enhancing their readiness to enter the labor market in the future and aligning with the bank’s vision of building a qualified national workforce.”
Through these initiatives, the bank strives to provide training programs with added value, combining theoretical knowledge with practical application, contributing to the preparation of a generation equipped with the skills and expertise needed to keep pace with the rapid developments in the banking sector. The partnership between Waha Bank and the Public Authority for Housing Affairs exemplifies purposeful cooperation between the banking sector and government entities, achieving a positive impact on youth capacity building and supporting their empowerment through high-quality training opportunities that align with best professional practices.
Waha Bank continues, through the “Iniqala” program, to reinforce its role as an active partner in supporting community and developmental initiatives, driven by its belief in the importance of investing in human capital and contributing to the preparation of a generation equipped with knowledge, skills, and confidence to embark on their professional journeys with competence and effectiveness.
