Ministry of Agriculture Launches Subsidized Feed Disbursement Notification Service via 'Sahl'

The Public Authority for Agriculture Affairs and Fish Resources announced the launch of a notification service for the disbursement of subsidized animal feed through the unified government application for electronic services (Sahel), as part of the Authority’s efforts to accelerate digital transformation, enhance the efficiency of services provided to breeders, and strengthen the governance of procedures related to the support system.
Rasha Al-Dhafiri, head of the Project Implementation and Follow-up Department at the Authority, told KUNA that the launch of the service marks the beginning of a series of digital services being developed and rolled out sequentially.
Al-Dhafiri added that this initiative aligns with a vision aimed at reengineering and simplifying procedures, enhancing transparency and oversight, and reducing interventions and paper-based processes to ensure that services and support reach their rightful beneficiaries efficiently and accurately.
She emphasized that the Authority’s digital transformation goes beyond converting paper procedures into electronic ones; it aims to build a more efficient and well-governed system based on clear procedures, accurate data, traceability, and oversight, thereby strengthening the integrity of the support system, safeguarding public funds, and improving the quality of services provided to citizens.
She noted that the next phase will see a gradual expansion in the digitalization of the Authority’s services and the electronic linking of its procedures, in line with directives from Dr. Reem Al-Faleh, Minister of State for Development and Sustainability, which will help shorten documentation cycles, enhance performance efficiency, and provide more accurate data to support decision-making.
She reaffirmed the continued commitment to developing services according to an institutional approach that positions digital transformation and governance as two fundamental pillars in the Authority’s operational development.
