Academic Accreditation and the Civil Service Bureau Discussed Lists of Distinguished Higher Education and Alignment of Academic Specializations with Labor Market Needs
The National Authority for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance of Education and the Civil Service Bureau reviewed lists of distinguished higher education institutions and aligned academic specializations with labor market needs and development priorities.
This came during a coordination meeting held by the Acting Director General of the Authority, Dr. Jassem Al-Ali, with the Assistant Undersecretary for Missions and Study Leave Affairs at the Civil Service Bureau, Narjes Dashti, to discuss several topics of mutual interest in the fields of higher education and study missions.
Al-Ali told KUNA that the meeting is part of efforts to enhance institutional cooperation and exchange data and indicators, thereby supporting decision-making and improving planning efficiency in areas related to education and employment, in line with the future vision of the State of Kuwait.
He added that the meeting addressed mechanisms for utilizing labor market indicators to identify current and future needs for specializations, thereby enhancing the alignment of higher education outputs with job requirements, while keeping pace with global developments in scientific, technological, and technical fields and anticipating promising areas.
He clarified that both sides discussed the frameworks and standards related to lists of distinguished higher education institutions and ways to develop them, in line with scientific and technological advancements in the higher education system, as well as topics related to study missions within the frameworks and regulations governing them.
Al-Ali emphasized the importance of continuing cooperation and integrating efforts between the National Authority and the Civil Service Bureau to enhance the efficiency of investment in human capital and support the alignment of education outputs with labor market needs and development priorities in the State of Kuwait.
