Organization of the KFU 2026 Forum in October next year
The Public Authority for Youth and Sports, in collaboration with the Kafou platform, announced the organization of the “Kafou 2026” forum, titled “From Resilience to Development: Kuwaiti Youth Shaping the Future,” to be held on October 26 next year.
This announcement followed a meeting between the Minister of State for Youth and Sports Affairs, Dr. Tariq Al-Jalahma, and the Chief Executive Officer of the Kafou platform, Dr. Fatima Al-Musawi, which resulted in the decision to host the forum at the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Centre.
In a press statement, Dr. Al-Jalahma said the meeting discussed ways to enhance the role of Kuwaiti youth and support national talents and competencies, alongside reviewing initiatives aimed at providing more opportunities for young people to actively participate in the national development process. He emphasized that Kuwaiti youth are a genuine national asset and that investing in their energies and competencies is an investment in Kuwait’s future.
He noted that the forum strengthens dialogue between youth and various sectors, supports their participation in shaping solutions, and contributes to achieving national development goals.
He stressed the importance of integrating efforts among the government and private sectors, civil society, and national platforms to create a supportive environment for youth, enhance their participation in development, and open new pathways for Kuwaiti talents to contribute their expertise and ideas to building the country’s future.
For her part, Dr. Fatima Al-Musawi, CEO of the Kafou platform, said in a press statement that the platform believes Kuwait possesses youthful energies and competencies capable of making a difference when provided with the appropriate space and opportunities.
She added that the forum serves as a space that brings together these talents, links ideas with opportunities, and transforms youthful potential into tangible impact that contributes to Kuwait’s future.
She noted that the forum covers six main axes: empowering youth, women, and persons with disabilities; artificial intelligence and cyber resilience; economic development, business continuity, water, energy, food security, sports, health, nutrition, education, arts, and culture.
She clarified that the selection of these axes reflects the forum’s orientation toward shifting from responding to challenges and building resilience to transforming them into opportunities for development and innovation, with youth at the heart of this process as key partners in shaping the future.
