Our Ambassador to Tajikistan: Strengthening cooperation between the two countries in various fields

Our ambassador to the Republic of Tajikistan, Mohammed Al-Amiri, emphasized the importance of enhancing communication and cooperation between the two countries across various fields.

In a statement to KUNA, our embassy in the Republic of Tajikistan said this came during Ambassador Al-Amiri’s participation, representing Kuwait alongside representatives of more than 20 countries and international organizations accredited to Tajikistan, at the International Scientific and Theoretical Conference titled “Imam Ali Rahmon.”

Al-Amiri stressed the importance of strengthening the presence of the Kuwaiti Embassy in Dushanbe, as the first Kuwaiti embassy resident in Tajikistan, with the commencement of its operations and its engagement with various official, cultural, and scientific institutions.

He noted that the conference discussed the political, cultural, international, scientific, and historical aspects of the journey of Tajikistan’s President, Emomali Rahmon, and his role in strengthening state institutions, preserving national values and identity, advancing social and economic development, and enhancing Tajikistan’s presence on the international stage.

He mentioned that bilateral relations between Kuwait and Tajikistan have witnessed significant development in recent years through the exchange of official visits, culminating in the visit of Tajikistan’s President, Emomali Rahmon, to Kuwait in 2024, where he met His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled.

It is worth noting that the Kuwaiti Embassy officially commenced its operations last month in the capital, Dushanbe, after Ambassador Al-Amiri submitted his credentials to Tajikistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sarajiddin Mehriddin, as the first resident ambassador of the State of Kuwait.
