Interior Ministry: Raising readiness, developing services, and accelerating digital transformation are priorities for the coming phase

Deputy Minister of Interior Major General Abdulwahab Al-Wahayeb chaired an expanded leadership meeting yesterday, attended by Assistant Directors General and heads of security departments across various sectors of the Ministry. During the meeting, he conveyed greetings from the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, expressing his confidence in the security forces’ ability to fulfill their duty of protecting the country and its assets. He emphasized the importance of continued coordination and integration among departments and removing any obstacles that might hinder the implementation of comprehensive security plans.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Interior, the meeting began with a review of performance evaluation reports for various departments, discussions on ways to enhance coordination and joint readiness, and an examination of mechanisms to improve performance efficiency and expand the scope of services provided to citizens and residents, thereby contributing to faster processing of transactions and improved service quality.

The meeting also addressed the importance of continuing to focus on digital transformation and the development of electronic services, strengthening services provided in service centers, and facilitating and simplifying procedures to keep pace with technological advancements and elevate the level of services offered by the Ministry of Interior.

Deputy Minister of Interior Major General Abdulwahab Al-Wahayeb stressed that safeguarding national security and the safety of citizens is a trust and responsibility that requires doubling efforts and full commitment to applying the law with firmness and justice. He emphasized the need to develop field work mechanisms, enhance discipline and readiness across all departments, and continue improving services to meet the needs of citizens and residents while raising the efficiency of security and service operations.
