The Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development announced two new contributions to the Kuwait Emergency Response Fund, each valued at one million US dollars, provided by Al Hamra Real Estate Company and Kuwait Cement Company, as part of the ongoing engagement of national institutions with the initiative aimed at enhancing Kuwait’s preparedness and improving the efficiency of its emergency response system.
In a press statement, the Fund noted that the joining of these two companies to the list of supporters of the Fund reflects the broadening scope of national participation and the diversity of sectors contributing to supporting its objectives. This contributes to strengthening the Fund’s resources and directing them toward priority interventions and projects, while supporting the capacity of relevant authorities to address various emergency needs and circumstances efficiently and effectively.
Kuwait Cement Company is one of the country’s longstanding national industrial firms, having contributed for over five decades to supporting industrial and urban development and meeting local market demand for cement products. It is the only industrial company in Kuwait that produces clinker and manufactures cement entirely locally, underscoring its role in supporting the construction and building sector and the nation’s urban development progress.
Al Hamra Real Estate Company is also one of the prominent national real estate firms in Kuwait, operating in the development, management, and operation of real estate and commercial assets, including the Al Hamra Business Tower and Al Hamra Shopping Mall and their associated facilities. The company adopts an approach focused on operational efficiency, sustainability, innovation, and enhancing the experience of customers and tenants, thereby supporting the sustainability of its assets and its contribution to the real estate sector and the national economy.
