Minister of Housing: Today, the 16th lottery to settle those who regularized their status in Al-Shorouk City

Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, Eng. Randa Al-Munshawi, announced that the 16th public manual lottery for allocating plots to customers who have paid the initial installments for the areas regularized for them in the Rabia area of Shorouk City will be held today, Thursday, August 13, 2026.

The Minister of Housing emphasized the Ministry’s commitment to completing the procedures for regularizing citizens’ land holdings in areas added to several new cities, and to processing their requests in accordance with the established rules and regulations, thereby ensuring social stability and guaranteeing that eligible individuals receive their rights.

Eng. Mohamed Zakaria, Head of the Shorouk City Development Authority, clarified that the public manual lottery will take place at the Authority’s headquarters for customers who have paid the initial installments for the regularized areas, according to the following plot size categories: 209 sq.m., 276 sq.m., 500 sq.m., 600 sq.m., and 700 sq.m.

The Head of the Authority added that a public lottery will also be held for citizens who have expressed their desire to exchange their regularized land plots for alternative residential units, in accordance with the prescribed procedures and regulations.

He noted that citizens’ attendance registration will begin at 10:00 a.m. on the scheduled date of the lottery, and the doors will close at 12:00 p.m. to commence the public lottery. Attendance at the lottery will be permitted upon presentation of a valid national ID and the original payment receipt. Furthermore, the first 25% installment must be paid in full within two months from the date of the lottery.
