Practical Studies Club Enhances Students' Manual, Artistic, and Creative Skills in the Summer

Alaa Khalifa: Dr. Ghanem Al-Husseini, Director of the Summer Practical Studies Center, affirmed that the Practical Studies Club continues its training programs amid strong attendance and keen interest from students and their parents, reflecting their commitment to making the most of the summer vacation for their benefit and development.

Dr. Al-Husseini explained that the Practical Studies Club is distinguished by the diversity of its specializations and fields, noting that a large number of the programs and activities offered were selected and implemented as part of the curriculum. The club enables students to engage in practical training and hands-on practice in various fields, including electricity, electronics, carpentry, interior design, and other artistic and technical disciplines, allowing each student to find a field that aligns with their interests and abilities.

He added that the center focuses, through these specializations, on developing students’ manual and practical skills, while fostering creative thinking, innovation, and problem-solving through the execution of practical projects. He emphasized that students do not merely receive theoretical knowledge; rather, they think, plan, design, and personally execute their projects.

Dr. Al-Husseini stated that the objective of the summer club is for students to acquire new skills, gain greater self-confidence, and develop the ability to create and achieve, in addition to helping them discover their interests and talents at an early stage.

He extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to the Minister of Education, Engineer Sayed Jalal Al-Tabatabaei, for providing students with the opportunity to participate in evening summer clubs, which play a vital role in utilizing students’ time and developing their capabilities and talents.

For his part, Abdullah Al-Obeidi, a trainer at the Practical Studies Club specializing in electricity, explained that students are trained in the club on how to install electrical wiring, which consists of lights and switches connected to a safe power source designated for student training, while adhering to the highest safety standards.

Al-Obeidi added that electricity represents just one of the multiple technical fields and specializations offered by the club to students, clarifying that all disciplines provide students with the opportunity for direct hands-on practice in a safe environment, thereby enhancing their daily safety skills.
