Suspension of work in ministries and government entities on Thursday, August 27, in observance of the Prophet's Birthday

The Cabinet has decided to suspend work in all ministries, government entities, and public authorities and institutions on Thursday, the 27th of the current month, as an official holiday in observance of the Prophet’s Birthday (Mawlid al-Nabi) for the year 1448 AH, with official work resuming on Sunday, the 30th. This decision was announced during the Cabinet meeting chaired by His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Salim Al-Sabah, Prime Minister. The decree stipulated that entities with special working nature shall determine their holidays through the relevant authorities concerned, taking into account the public interest.
