American Wesley in Al-Qadsiah's "Basket"

The board of directors of Al-Qadsieh Club, chaired by Sheikh Meshal Al-Fahad, has signed American basketball player Wesley, who will join the club’s senior basketball team for the 2026–2027 sports season.

Al-Qadsieh anticipates tough matches in the decisive “Final Four” of the league championship (from last season) next October. The “Yellow Team” is expected to enter a training camp in the coming period to prepare for the season’s launch, aiming for the best possible start under their new Turkish coach, Murat Dikmen, who replaced his compatriot Andak Bayser.

The “Yellow Team’s” basketball squad began its training at the end of last July in preparation for a long season, which starts with the final stage of the preliminary round from last season, followed by the “Final Four” to decide the league title among Kuwaiti clubs: Al-Qadsieh, Kazma, Al-Qurain, and Al-Kuwait. The season also includes the league and cup competitions, as well as the Asian Super League for West Asia’s Gulf region.

It is worth noting that last season’s competitions, which were halted due to events that occurred in the region, will resume starting October 7 with the final stage of the preliminary round, followed by the “Final Four” featuring Al-Kuwait, Al-Qadsieh, Kazma, and Al-Qurain.
