Our Ambassador to Armenia, Mohammed Al-Arifan, emphasized the importance of leveraging opportunities to enhance bilateral cooperation and explore new areas of collaboration amid the rapid developments shaping the world. This came in a statement from our embassy in Yerevan following a meeting held by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan with the ambassadors of Arab countries accredited to his country, on the occasion of Pashinyan’s reappointment as Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia.
Ambassador Al-Arifan congratulated Pashinyan on this occasion, conveying the congratulations of the Kuwaiti leadership and wishing him success and prosperity in continuing his duties, as well as lasting peace, stability, development, and prosperity for the Republic of Armenia and its friendly people.
The ambassador reaffirmed Kuwait’s commitment to continuing to strengthen and develop bilateral relations with the Republic of Armenia, elevating them to broader horizons that serve the common interests of the two countries and their friendly peoples. He stressed the importance of capitalizing on available opportunities to enhance bilateral cooperation and explore collaborative prospects in numerous fields, particularly technology, artificial intelligence, transport, and regional connectivity, thereby contributing to economic development and the realization of shared interests between the two countries.
For his part, the Armenian Prime Minister highlighted the importance of strengthening Armenian-Arab relations and expanding areas of cooperation with Arab states, outlining regional developments and the efforts made to establish peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as the significance of the regional connectivity project and opening new avenues for economic and trade cooperation. He also pointed to the ongoing preparations for Armenia’s hosting of the 17th Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17) next October, which represents an opportunity to enhance international cooperation in the fields of environment, climate, and sustainable development.
