Al-Yousef: The law applies to the small and the big

The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, affirmed that investigative work is a national responsibility and a trust requiring integrity, impartiality, and strict adherence to the application of the law with complete fairness and detachment, thereby ensuring the revelation of the truth, the protection of rights, and the achievement of justice.

During the graduation ceremony for the eighth batch of investigators from the General Directorate of Investigations, comprising 486 graduates, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef stressed that Kuwait places its trust in its graduate sons and daughters, emphasizing that they must live up to this trust and responsibility. He urged them to make justice and the law the foundation of their duties, applying legal provisions to everyone without exception, noting that “there is no difference between the powerful and the weak, nor between those in positions of authority and others.”

The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior witnessed the swearing-in of 486 male and female investigators, reiterating that investigative work is a national responsibility and a trust requiring integrity, impartiality, and commitment to applying the law with fairness and detachment to reveal the truth and safeguard rights.

The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, attended the graduation ceremony for the eighth batch of investigators from the General Directorate of Investigations, which included 486 graduates. The event was attended by the Deputy Minister of Interior, Major General Abdulwahab Al-Wahhab; the Director General of the General Directorate of Investigations, Brigadier General and Legal Expert Dr. Faisal Khaled Al-Mukarram; the Deputy Director General for Investigation Departments Affairs, Reem Al-Mousa; and the Deputy Director General for Technical Office and Disciplinary Council Affairs, Bassam Al-Mashhouh.

In a directive address to the graduate sons and daughters, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef affirmed that investigative work is a national responsibility and a trust requiring integrity, impartiality, and strict adherence to the application of the law with complete fairness and detachment, ensuring the revelation of the truth, the protection of rights, and the achievement of justice. He stressed that Kuwait places its trust in its graduate sons and daughters, who must be worthy of this trust and responsibility, making justice and the law the basis of their duties. He emphasized that legal provisions must be applied to everyone without exception, with no distinction between the powerful and the weak, or between those in positions of authority and others.

The Director General of the General Directorate of Investigations, Brigadier General and Legal Expert Dr. Faisal Khaled Al-Mukarram, delivered a speech on the occasion, highlighting the importance of the role played by investigators within the justice system and the law enforcement framework, as well as the responsibility resting on their shoulders to perform their duties with utmost integrity and honesty.

Subsequently, the graduates of the eighth batch took the legal oath before the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior. The oath was administered by Public Prosecutor Dr. Ibrahim Al-Sharqawi, marking the beginning of their professional careers and their assumption of duties as “Grade C Investigators.”

The eighth batch comprised 486 graduates, including 307 males, among them 35 officers, and 179 females, including 4 female officers. Notably, this batch marks the first time female police officers are graduating to work in the field of investigations, a step that enhances the participation of female cadres in this sector.
