Housing: Next Sunday, commencement of delivery of "Additional Lands" in Al-Obour Al-Jadida

Cairo – Nadeh Imam: Minister Rand Al-Manshaoui, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, announced that starting on Sunday, August 16, 2026, procedures for handing over land plots allocated to citizens in the newly added areas of the former Al-Amal and Al-Tala’i districts in the new city of Obour will commence. These plots were allocated to citizens whose situations were regularized and who were assigned land through public lotteries, according to specific categories and scheduled timelines.

The Minister of Housing emphasized that this initiative aligns with the Ministry’s commitment to expediting the delivery of land to citizens and facilitating the procedures for obtaining their allocated plots in accordance with established rules and schedules. She confirmed that the authorities of the new cities continue to implement plans for delivering land plots and residential units to citizens, in line with the state’s direction toward achieving integrated urban development and providing various housing and investment opportunities and services to citizens in the new cities.

For his part, Engineer Mahmoud Murad, Head of the Obour New City Development Authority, clarified that the Authority will, as a first phase, deliver land plots in Vicinity No. 3, District 33, measuring 209 square meters, to citizens of the former Al-Amal Association, and land plots in Vicinity No. 2, District 27, to citizens of the former Al-Tala’i Association. These allocations follow the public lottery conducted in the city and adhere to the established timeline.
