Artist Mai Hariri spoke about her new song “Farfousha al-Farafish,” with lyrics by Mahmoud Kamel, music composed by Hassan Sarraj, musical arrangement by Tony Saba, and music video directed by Maxim Diab. She emphasized that what most inspired her to release the track was her feeling that the song reflects her true personality. She explained that she wanted to reclaim a playful aspect of her spirit that she had missed in recent times, noting that the song’s title aligns with the summer atmosphere. Hariri affirmed that her love for joy and laughter mirrors the nature of the Lebanese people, who cling to their smiles despite difficult circumstances.
Regarding the music video’s use of artificial intelligence technology, Mai clarified, according to the “Fawasya” website, that she wanted to embark on a new experience and keep pace with technological and digital advancements, after noticing that several artists had adopted this technique. She hinted that she is unsure how the audience will receive the experiment, especially since people tend to prefer realistic imagery.
