Ashraf Zaki: Rogina was wronged

Egyptian actors’ union head Ashraf Zaki revealed the dramatic work through which his wife, actress Rogina, suffered injustice, both financially and artistically. He noted that she participated in the series “Al-Prince,” which achieved massive popular success and sparked widespread buzz upon its broadcast. Zaki pointed out that Rogina was treated unjustly on both fronts: she received a nominal fee for her role, and her name was listed late in the opening credits, despite the significance of her part and the character’s popularity with audiences. Speaking on the program “Content Number 7,” Ashraf Zaki said, “Rogina’s fee for ‘Al-Prince’ was symbolic, and her name appeared very late in the credits. There was financial and artistic injustice, but she broke the internet with her performance in the series.”
