Al-Azraq Al-Shabab to Face Jordan Again Today
Our national under-20 football team will face Jordan again today at 9:45 p.m. at Jaber Al-Mubarak Stadium in the Sulaibikhat Club, in a friendly match as part of both sides’ preparations for the Asian Cup qualifiers. The two teams met last Saturday evening, with Jordan winning 1-0.
The technical staff of the Blue Team, led by Croatian coach Vedran Milin, aims to correct their course and address mistakes against a side known for its physical and technical strength, ahead of the official qualifiers.
Both teams are preparing to compete in the Asian Cup qualifiers, with the finals scheduled to be held in China from March 24 to April 10 next year. Our national team is drawn in Group 7 of the qualifiers, which will be hosted in Cambodia from the 31st of this month until September 6 next year. The group includes Cambodia, Japan, and Yemen.
Notably, the Blue Team will conclude their preparations with a final training camp in Thailand starting next Friday, featuring two friendly matches against Asian teams of the same age category. After that, the team delegation will depart for Cambodia to compete in the qualifiers.
