Abdul Fatah Maaref, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Tijariya Real Estate Company, stated that the company’s results for the financial period ending June 30, 2026, yielded net profits of KD 9.37 million, representing a 3.4% increase compared to the same period last year.
Maaref added that despite the current political situation and its impact on the economic climate, the first half of the year witnessed stability in net operating revenues, growth in the results of affiliated companies, and a decline in the revaluation profits of certain investments compared to the same period last year. Regarding the financial indicators for the first half of the current year, the return on shareholders’ equity stood at 3.1%, the return on total assets at 1.8%, and the return on company capital at 4.8%, with growth rates of 1.6%, 3.3%, and 0.44% respectively compared to the same period last year.
Maaref emphasized that Al-Tijariya, despite the prevailing geopolitical circumstances, continued to deliver strong performance, closely and continuously monitoring ongoing developments and assessing their potential implications on the economic landscape. The company continues to take necessary proactive measures to adapt to these challenges, thereby contributing to the protection of shareholders’ rights and maintaining the solidity of its financial position.
As part of its strategy aimed at diversifying its international investments and expanding its portfolio of income-generating assets, Al-Tijariya, through its subsidiaries, invested in a logistics and transportation center in Texas, United States of America.
During the second quarter of 2026, the company, in collaboration with its strategic investors, successfully exited its investment in the “501 First Residences” project in Miami. The project is a 40-story residential tower comprising 476 residential units. The exit followed the successful completion of the project’s development and the sale of its units, resulting in recorded profits for the company.
Maaref further noted that Al-Tijariya Real Estate Company continued to implement various community, environmental, and educational initiatives during the second quarter of the year, driven by its firm commitment to corporate social responsibility and its role as an active partner in achieving sustainable development.
He pointed out that the company signed an annual strategic partnership with “Amena” to sponsor the fourth edition of the “Amena Your School” competition. This initiative aims to raise environmental awareness and enhance concepts of sustainability and recycling among school students, thereby fostering positive environmental behaviors among the younger generation.
The company also sponsored the “Most Sustainable Product or Service” award within the universities category of the “Company” program, organized by the Kuwait Association for Business Excellence (Amanat Kuwait), reaffirming its commitment to supporting youth and promoting concepts of sustainability and entrepreneurship. Additionally, the company participated in delivering a training session for students on the future of work environments, technology, and artificial intelligence, alongside evaluating student projects, thereby encouraging innovation and empowering young national talents.
In support of inclusion and empowerment initiatives, the company, in cooperation with the Integrated Care Association for People with Disabilities (ICAN), organized a cooking skills workshop hosted at Symphony Style Hotel, owned by the company. The event was sponsored by and attended by Sheikha Shikha Al-Abdullah Al-Salim Al-Sabah, with the aim of developing participants’ skills, boosting their self-confidence, and encouraging their active participation in society.
Al-Tijariya Real Estate Company also organized a blood donation campaign across several of its complexes, including Al-Tijariya Tower, Symphony Complex, and Boulevard Complex, in collaboration with the Central Blood Bank. The campaign aimed to support the Central Blood Bank’s needs, reinforce values of humanitarian work and social solidarity, and encourage community members to contribute to national initiatives with positive impact.
Al-Tijariya Real Estate Company launched an awareness campaign under the slogan “Conscious Consumption... Sustainable Future,” aiming to raise awareness about the importance of conserving electricity and water, and to promote a culture of responsible consumption. This aligns with the state’s efforts to preserve natural resources and achieve sustainable development goals. The campaign included awareness messages via social media platforms and digital screens in the company’s properties, as well as employee awareness sessions, contributing to embedding sustainable practices among various segments of society.
