The Ministry of the Interior announced that the General Directorate for Combating Narcotics, represented by the International Combating Department, arrested a citizen in the Doha area following surveillance and investigative operations that revealed his cultivation of marijuana and possession of narcotics for the purposes of trafficking and personal use.
In a statement, the ministry said the arrest led to the seizure of 6 kilograms of marijuana, a quarter kilogram of hashish, and tools used in marijuana cultivation, along with 17,820 dinars believed to be proceeds from sales, according to a security source.
The ministry confirmed that the arrest came after completing search and investigative procedures, which resulted in locating the farm, apprehending the suspect, and seizing the narcotics, cultivation tools, and the seized cash. The suspect and the confiscated items were referred to the competent authorities to take all necessary legal actions against him.
