Hasn't Cut Her Hair in Over 10 Years: Indian 'Content Creator' Breaks World Record for Longest Hair

An Indian woman has set a new Guinness World Record, earning the title of the living woman with the longest hair in the female category, surpassing the previous record held by a Ukrainian woman.

The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) quoted the Indian newspaper Mathrubhumi as reporting that 35-year-old content creator Renu Daryal achieved the record after her hair reached a length of approximately 270 centimeters, surpassing the previous record held by Ukrainian Aliya Nasyrova, which stood at 257 centimeters. Daryal has not cut her hair since 2015.

Daryal told Mathrubhumi that Indian culture, which views long hair as a symbol of beauty and an extension of tradition, inspired her to grow her hair to such an extent. She explained that maintaining it requires considerable patience and effort, particularly because washing and detangling it takes many hours. She added that relying on natural, chemical-free recipes has helped preserve her hair, noting that she shares these recipes with her followers via her YouTube channel.
