Egypt and Turkey reaffirm the necessity of full implementation of Trump's peace plan for Gaza

Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdelatty and his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan stressed the necessity of fully implementing U.S. President Donald Trump’s peace plan, including its first and second phases, which entail the withdrawal of the Israeli occupation from the Gaza Strip.

The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a press release that this position emerged during a telephone conversation between the two sides, as part of continuous communication and coordination between the two countries regarding ways to enhance bilateral relations and exchange views on regional issues of shared interest.

According to the statement, the two ministers reaffirmed their countries’ condemnation of repeated Israeli violations in the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip, and emphasized the need for an immediate halt to the escalation in the occupied territories.

The phone call addressed the latest developments in the regional situation and efforts to de-escalate tensions and contain unrest. The two ministers stressed the importance of intensifying endeavors aimed at achieving calm and reaching comprehensive, sustainable understandings that enhance regional security and stability.
