Abdullah Al-Rakan The Committee for Women’s Housing Affairs has called on female citizens registered with the Public Authority for Housing Welfare, who have pending applications for rented housing, to update their application data electronically via the government “Sahl” application. This move aligns with the Cabinet’s directives on digital transformation and the Committee’s commitment to facilitating procedures for beneficiaries.
The Committee clarified that a notification containing a link to access the application update service and attach required documents will be sent to eligible beneficiaries via the “Sahl” application. It urged all recipients of the update notification to proactively complete their data and submit the required documents within 90 days from the date of the announcement.
The Committee emphasized that applications not updated within the specified period will be canceled, effective October 16, 2026.
The Committee specified the documents required to update the application, which include a copy of the civil ID of the primary applicant, a copy of the nationality certificate, and alongside these, a copy of the marriage contract for married women, a divorce certificate for divorced women, or a death certificate of the husband for widows.
The required documents also include academic certificates for children covering the last two academic years, a certificate from the General Administration of Borders indicating travel movements for the years 2024, 2025, and 2026, as well as a certificate from the Real Estate Registration Administration confirming that neither the primary applicant nor her husband owns any real estate property, and a certificate from the Commercial Registry Administration.
Additionally, the required documents include a recent certificate from the Public Authority for Persons with Disabilities, in case any family member has a severe or moderate disability, along with a salary certificate. In cases of unemployment, a certificate from the Public Authority for Social Insurance and a certificate from the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor must be attached.
The Committee noted that if beneficiaries with pending applications for rented housing do not receive the update notification via the “Sahl” application, they can visit the Public Authority for Housing Welfare to update their application data and complete the required procedures.
It further clarified that those who have already updated their data via the “Sahl” application are not required to update it again.
