Opening of a Leading AI Factory in Armenia

A new artificial intelligence factory was inaugurated in the city of Hrazdan, Armenia, marking the launch of the first phase of a project developed by the US-based AI company Firebird, according to the Armenpress news agency.

The total investment in the two-phase project is expected to reach $5 billion upon completion. During the inauguration ceremony, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan described the project’s launch as a significant event for the country. The facility relies on accelerated computing from Nvidia and high-performance AI infrastructure provided by Dell Technologies. Nvidia stated that Firebird plans to deploy more than 70,000 Nvidia Rubin and Blackwell graphics processing units, and provide AI infrastructure with a capacity of up to 300 megawatts in Armenia by the end of 2027, as part of efforts to accelerate the country’s development as a hub for AI research, advanced computing, and innovation.
