Al-Hassash: "Window on History" Program is an Extension of the Giants

One of the most prominent programs broadcast by Kuwait Radio in 1977, and still ongoing, is “A Window on History.” The program is distinguished by its suspense and excitement, presenting history in a modern style. It has been presented for many years, with numerous directors taking charge, including Ali Al-Mufidi, Abdulameer Al-Turki, and Abdulaziz Al-Fahad.

Al-Anbaa reporters visited the General Program studio of Kuwait Radio, where artists gather to record new episodes of “A Window on History.” We spoke with the program’s director, artist Yousef Al-Hashash, who said: “The series and program ‘A Window on History’ is a venerable institution and is considered one of the most important pillars of the radio sector in the State of Kuwait. It has been handled by many writers and directors over the past years, dating back to the early 1970s. Thank God, we today, as young professionals, are an extension of this program and of its giants.

The episodes we are recording are written by Dr. Abbar Ali Al-Mufidi, and the production features a collective cast including many prominent names at the level of radio and the artistic community, such as artists Hussein Al-Mufidi, Osama Al-Muzayyel, Mohammed Al-Alawi, Ous Al-Shatti, Abdullah Al-Qallaf, Abdulmohsen Al-Omar, Yousef Al-Omar, Hussein Al-Rafai, Ilham Al-Hamadi, Hanan Al-Mahdi, Mohammed Jamal Al-Shatti, Salman Kaid, and many other stars who change according to the different stories featured in ‘A Window on History.’ The program airs on the General Program of Kuwait Radio, under the supervision of Drama Supervisor Najla Al-Fahad and the Head of the Department, Abdulkarim Khalil Ismail.”
