Emir of Qatar and Sultan of Oman discuss strengthening bilateral relations and partnership between the two countries

His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar, and His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, Sultan of Oman, discussed the trajectory of bilateral relations and ways to develop existing cooperation across various sectors, in a manner that serves the shared interests and aspirations of the two countries.

Qatar News Agency (QNA) and Oman News Agency (ONA) reported that His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad welcomed His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq and the accompanying delegation at the outset of the meeting, wishing His Majesty good health and well-being, and expressing hopes for further development and growth of the fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries.

The Amir of Qatar praised the deep historical ties uniting the two brotherly nations, reaffirming Doha’s commitment to continuing to strengthen cooperation and partnership between the two countries, in line with the aspirations and shared interests of their peoples.

For his part, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq expressed his gratitude and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad for the warm reception and generous hospitality, and conveyed his pleasure at the visit and at meeting his brother, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad. He emphasized Oman’s interest in consolidating ties of cooperation and coordination between the two countries, thereby strengthening entrenched fraternal relations and opening broader horizons for joint cooperation across various fields.
