Ministry of Communications approves new fees for company and institute registration and renewal, effective from 2027

The Central Agency for Information Technology issued a decision regarding the fees for the services it provides, including the determination of registration fees for Kuwaiti public companies and institutions in the field of information technology, along with fees for various services, training, and certifications.

Decision No. (11) of 2026 concerning the fees for services provided by the Central Agency for Information Technology, published in the “Kuwait Today” newspaper, stipulates the cancellation of registration fees for information systems companies and related services, as outlined in Ministerial Decision No. (45) of 2001, and the implementation of the new fees specified in a table attached to the decision.

The decision sets a registration fee of 200 Kuwaiti dinars for a company, which includes the audit process and issuance of the certificate. The annual renewal fee amounts to 100 dinars and covers the updating of the company’s data.

The decision also sets a fee of 50 dinars for each main field and 25 dinars for each specialized field.

Regarding training institutes, the decision sets a registration fee of 250 dinars, which includes the review of curricula and instructors. The renewal fee for a training institute is 100 dinars and covers the updating of training programs.

The decision further indicates the imposition of additional fees for certificates, reports, and authentication services, ranging between 10 and 50 dinars depending on the type of service, which includes the issuance of various certificates and authentication services.

According to the decision, the Central Agency for Information Technology is responsible for collecting the fees and issuing the aforementioned registration certificates, in accordance with the financial procedures and systems in effect. The decision also obligates the agency to take all necessary technical, administrative, and financial measures to implement the approved fees, including updating related forms, procedures, and systems, and disseminating the decision to relevant parties in accordance with established procedures. The decision stipulates that it shall enter into force on January 1, 2027, and be published in the Official Gazette.
