Trump: We are dealing with Iran calmly and without escalation

US President Donald Trump said that the United States is currently dealing with Iran “calmly and without escalation.”

Trump added in comments to the Axios news website: “We are only negotiating with Iran in a limited way. It is suffering from a very poor economic situation and lacks the money to pay its soldiers’ salaries.”

The US president reiterated his assertion that the naval blockade imposed by the United States has exacerbated the economic crisis facing the Iranian regime.
