Gulf theater star Dr. Tariq Al-Ali on Al-Anbaa program: The executive producer at Kuwait Television broke me... and wait for my upcoming play

Gulf theater star, artist Dr. Tariq Al-Ali, spoke about his upcoming play, titled “La Taquli Wa La Aqulak, Wa Al-Baqi Kull Wahid Bis-Sikka” (“Don’t Say It, And I Won’t Say It, And The Rest Is Each One on Their Own”), to be performed alongside his colleague, star artist Abdulaziz Al-Musallam, next September, during an appearance on the “Al-Anbaa Meeting” program.

Al-Ali told his colleague Sarah Al-Khudairi, “Al-Hamli is brilliant; he drives me crazy with his work, and his ensemble is distinctive.”

He noted that Gulf channels care for their own, adding, “The executive producer at Kuwait Television stopped me; it broke my heart.”

He emphasized the interest of digital platforms and private channels in Kuwait Television productions, as they are fully polished.

He also highlighted the continued run of the play “The Maestro,” which previously premiered at the Riyadh Season, stating, “Our voices are sweet, but we’re not singers. The Maestro’s combination is amazing. We bring social media stars along with their followers, and Jalnar is distinctive.”

In the final part of the interview, Dr. Al-Ali discussed the participation of social media stars in theater, saying, “We take the social media star along with his followers. Mohammed Al-Rashid and Yousef Al-Baghl are a disaster.”

Dr. Al-Ali also considered the character “Shlawih” to be distinctive among the roles he has portrayed.
