Argentine playmaker Franco Mastantuono has moved from Spanish club Real Madrid to Italian side Fiorentina on loan until the summer of 2027, as announced by the two clubs. Real Madrid issued a brief statement saying, “Real Madrid and Fiorentina have reached an agreement to loan player Franco Mastantuono until the end of next season, June 30, 2027.” The 18-year-old joined Real Madrid last summer after attracting attention with Argentine club River Plate, which paved the way for him to become the youngest player to represent Argentina in an official match at 17 years and nine months. He signed a six-year contract with the Spanish club, which paid 63 million euros ($72 million) to secure his services. Last season, Mastantuono made 35 appearances for the capital club across all competitions, scoring three goals, but failed to establish himself in the starting lineup, a setback that prevented him from participating with his country at the 2026 World Cup.
