The board of directors of the Kuwait Volleyball Federation decided in its last meeting to resume the 2025-2026 sports season competitions for the general category on October 22 next. The Federation’s Secretary-General, Talal Al-Namsh, explained that the decision to postpone the resumption of competitions, which had been delayed due to the situation in the region, was linked to the participation of the senior national team in the Arab Nations Championship, scheduled to be held in Jordan from October 8 to 18 next. He noted that the Arab Volleyball Federation had set the official dates for the tournament, prompting a meeting with the technical staff, led by Argentine coach Julian and his assistant Zaid Al-Kazemi, to discuss the preparation program for the Arab Championship and the necessary timeframe for its implementation. Al-Namsh emphasized that the national team’s best interests required postponing the resumption of the season until the conclusion of their participation in the Arab Championship. He added that the team’s preparation period will begin in early September, as requested by the technical staff, and coordination will take place with the General Authority for Youth and Sports to arrange an external training camp before the tournament, ensuring players’ readiness and a performance that reflects the standing of Kuwaiti volleyball at the Arab level.
