Singer Pascal Meshalani released her new song “How Are You Today?”, with lyrics by Mike Safi and music and arrangement by her husband, Melhem Abou Shdid. The idea for the song came from a daily phrase her husband used to repeat to her, which accidentally transformed into a musical work in the Lebanese Mountain dialect, featuring a folk style that resonates closely with the public. The song is part of her upcoming album, scheduled for release in September 2026, which includes 12 diverse tracks in various dialects and musical styles, such as Lebanese, Algerian, and Gulf, as well as Muwashshahat and Franco-Arab. Meshalani is also reinterpreting several of her own works and traditional songs with new arrangements, including “Akbar Nasay,” “Marhbetin,” and “Bayt Al-Sha’ir.”
