Beyond blood ties and intertwined interests, the events of the series “Red or White” unfold in an atmosphere charged with conflict and tension, as a dispute over inheritance ignites a chain of confrontations within a large family. This dramatic work blends crime and social drama.
The series begins airing on the 14th via MBC and Shahid platforms, consisting of eight intense episodes. The storyline is crafted with a fast-paced rhythm that places the characters in situations and tests that reveal many secrets and hidden agendas.
Director Munir Al-Zoubi undertakes a new experience in Gulf drama with “Red or White,” after filming the production in Saudi Arabia. The cast includes a group of stars, among them Mohammed Al-Rashed, Mohammed Al-Issa, Fahd Al-Bettair, Faton Al-Jarallah, Saeed Saleh, Ibrahim Al-Hasawi, Aziz Bahith, Turki Al-Shaddadi, Rana Jaber, Ahmed Al-Turki, Sara Al-Jaber, Asayil Mohammed, Abdulrahman Abdullah, and Ahmed Al-Alwan, alongside several other artists.
Written by Mohammed Al-Rashed, the story revolves around a large family that becomes embroiled in sharp disputes over inheritance. The situation soon escalates beyond familial conflict, opening the door to criminal-type events. As tensions rise, family relationships face a true test, exploring whether blood ties can withstand the clash with personal ambitions and interests.
Through this work, Al-Zoubi continues his transition between Kuwaiti and Saudi dramatic experiences, affirming his presence in Gulf production and his diverse choices between social works and thrill-paced dramas.
“Red or White” follows “Small Steps,” which Al-Zoubi presented during last Ramadan’s season. That series starred Hiba Al-Durri, Hamad Al-Omani, Maram Al-Balushi, Mohammed Al-Ramadan, Faisal Farid, and Zainab Bahman, and was written by Anfal Al-Duwaisan.
Previously, Al-Zoubi presented “Kuwait Riyadh Kuwait,” written by Ali Duhan and starring Fawaz Al-Shatti, Mohammed Al-Ramadan, Layali Dahrab, Yasa, Noura Al-Omairi, and Ibrahim Al-Shikhli. The series told the story of a woman who sells second-hand goods and travels between Kuwait and Riyadh, until her life is upended by sudden developments that lead her into escalating events.
