Al-Shatti: "Kuwait Insurance" launches special offer for retirees with 20% discount, and 15% for utilities
Kuwait Airways announced the launch of a special offer for retirees, providing a 20% discount for the retiree and a 15% discount for one accompanying passenger on ticket prices to various destinations served by the national carrier. The booking period runs from August 9 to September 15, 2026, with travel dates from August 9, 2026, to February 20, 2027.
In this regard, Acting Chief Executive Officer of Kuwait Airways, Captain Abdulwahab Ibrahim Al-Shatti, said: “Kuwait Airways is pleased to launch these offers, which add value for our customers. This offer is a token of appreciation and gratitude for retirees’ contributions, and reflects our commitment to enabling them to benefit from the national carrier’s services at competitive prices, underscoring Kuwait Airways’ dedication to its corporate social responsibility and its interest in serving all segments of society.”
Al-Shatti added that the offer applies to all Kuwait Airways destinations departing from Kuwait, whether on one-way or round-trip tickets, and covers both Economy and Business Class. It allows the retiree to enjoy a 20% discount, while the accompanying passenger receives a 15% discount when traveling on the same booking.
He clarified that the offer is exclusively available through Kuwait Airways offices and the call center at 171, and does not apply to bookings made via the website or mobile app. It also excludes codeshare flights and flights operated by partner airlines.
To avail themselves of the offer, retirees must provide proof from the Public Institution for Social Security, which can be obtained electronically via the “Thakhr” app. Al-Shatti urged those interested to book promptly within the specified sales period.
He concluded by reaffirming that Kuwait Airways will continue to launch initiatives and offers that enhance the travel experience and meet customer expectations, driven by its commitment to delivering the highest quality services and reinforcing its position as a national carrier that prioritizes passenger comfort and satisfaction.
