Al Jazeera Airways operates its first flight to Deir ez-Zor

Jazeera Airways, the leading low-cost carrier in Kuwait, launched its first flight to Deir ez-Zor, a move that strengthens its network of destinations in Syria and makes it the only airline offering direct flights between Kuwait and three Syrian cities. The inaugural flight saw strong demand, reflecting the appetite for direct services between Kuwait and Deir ez-Zor. The first passengers were welcomed by Tammam Madani, Chargé d’Affaires of the Syrian Arab Republic Embassy in Kuwait, and Andrew Littledale, Head of Finance at Jazeera Airways. Traditional Syrian coffee and a selection of local delicacies were served during check-in procedures.
Commenting on the occasion, Tammam Madani, Chargé d’Affaires of the Syrian Arab Republic Embassy in Kuwait, said: “The launch of the first direct flight between Kuwait and Deir ez-Zor marks a significant new milestone in the ongoing strengthening of the established ties between Syria and Kuwait. We appreciate Jazeera Airways’ continued commitment to reconnecting our communities and providing greater convenience, ease of travel, and options for passengers through its expanding network of destinations in Syria.”

With the addition of Deir ez-Zor, Jazeera Airways has become the sole carrier operating direct flights between Kuwait and each of Damascus, Aleppo, and Deir ez-Zor. The airline currently operates 26 weekly flights between Kuwait and Syria, offering the highest number of services in the market and meeting the needs of families, business travelers, and visitors between the two countries.
