The Kuwait Investment Company signed a cooperation agreement with the Public Authority for Agriculture Affairs and Fish Resources to implement an initiative to green and develop the site located between the Abdullah Al-Salem Suburb and Al-Mansouria areas at the end of the highway, in collaboration with the Green Urban Development Initiatives Committee. This initiative aligns with the company’s commitment to its social responsibility and its dedication to supporting national efforts aimed at enhancing environmental sustainability and expanding green spaces in the State of Kuwait.
On this occasion, Talal Al-Rashdan, Deputy Head of Public Relations and Media at the Kuwait Investment Company, affirmed that this agreement embodies the company’s vision of leveraging its social responsibility to create a positive and sustainable impact on society. He noted that investing in the environment is an investment in the future of coming generations, reflecting the company’s commitment to supporting national initiatives that contribute to achieving sustainable development and preserving natural resources.
He added that the selection of this strategic site for development and greening stems from the desire to contribute to improving the urban landscape and creating a more sustainable and aesthetically pleasing environment, particularly as it serves as one of the main entrances to Kuwait City. Its strategic location, characterized by heavy traffic, gives the initiative a broad visual and environmental impact, reflecting the nation’s civilized image.
He emphasized that this initiative aligns with national trends aimed at increasing green areas and enhancing public facilities, noting that the company views sustainability as an integral part of its corporate strategy, rather than merely a seasonal initiative.
He praised the significant role played by the Public Authority for Agriculture Affairs and Fish Resources under the leadership of its Acting Director General, Eng. Salem Al-Hai, appreciating the Authority’s cooperation in ensuring the success of this initiative. He also commended the efforts of the Green Urban Development Initiatives Committee and its role in supporting environmental projects that contribute to developing the urban landscape and reinforcing the concepts of environmental sustainability.
