Kuwait: Houthi militia attacks on Najran region constitute a blatant violation of Saudi sovereignty and territorial integrity

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the State of Kuwait’s strong condemnation and denunciation of the attacks launched by the Houthi militia on the Najran region in the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, targeting civilian infrastructure and resulting in injuries to several innocent civilians.

In a statement issued on Friday, the Ministry said that these attacks constitute a blatant violation of the Kingdom’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as a breach of international law and international humanitarian law, and an escalation that undermines regional security and stability.

It reaffirmed Kuwait’s absolute solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its steadfast support alongside the Kingdom, and its backing of all measures taken to safeguard its sovereignty, preserve its security and stability, and protect its people and residents on its territory.

According to the statement, the Ministry emphasized that the security of the Kingdom is an integral part of the security of the State of Kuwait and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also expressed Kuwait’s condemnation and denunciation of the bombing that targeted a passenger bus in the city of Daraya in the sisterly Syrian Arab Republic, which resulted in several injuries.

In its statement, the Ministry reiterated Kuwait’s firm and unwavering stance rejecting all forms of violence and terrorism, affirming Kuwait’s support for the Syrian Arab Republic in all measures it takes to preserve its security, stability, and the safety of its people. The Ministry also conveyed Kuwait’s wishes for the speedy recovery of the injured.
