Interception of Smuggling of 3 Packages of «Captagon» Containing 4,255 Pills

T5 Customs officers thwarted the smuggling of three containers of “Captagon” packed with 4,255 pills. In a statement, Customs explained that the seizure followed suspicions regarding the suspect’s luggage, which was subjected to thorough inspection procedures using screening equipment. The operation yielded three boxes containing Captagon pills hidden among the luggage in an attempt to evade detection by Customs officers. Customs added that immediate legal measures were taken, a seizure report was drawn up, and the suspect and the confiscated items were referred to the General Directorate for Combating Narcotics to complete the legal procedures in accordance with its jurisdiction.
